The Mayor of Perm Aleksei Demkin greeted participants of the International Project Congress

The International Project Congress (IPC) session took place on January 17, 2022. IPC  was founded in 2020 and is a venue for international projects exchange. The session participants were addressed by:

Oleg Garin, Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation,

Ramin Mamedov, Member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan,
Arnaldo Sanchez, Member of the National Assembly of Venezuela

The session elected Mr. Ilya Lesnyak, who is current member of Perm Regional Legislative Assembly, the IPC  Chair for 2022.

The following persons were elected for Vice-Chair positions:
- Askar Shaikidinov (Kirgizia) 
- Farida Askeradze (Azerbaijan) 
IPC Secretary position, a coordinator position for international project exchange, was given to Mark Korobov, current councillor of Perm City Duma. 

IPC unites leaders of national youth organisations, well-known young politicians, members of national parliaments as well as independent public figures from 11 countries - Azerbaijan,  Belarus, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan,  China, Russia, Tajikistan, Croatia, Jamaica and Jordan.   

The session approved the ICP Charter and Plan of Action for 2022. The Charter envisages that the chair position is held for a year and then goes to a different participating country. 

Part of the session was devoted to the events in Kazakhstan, the update on current situation being presented by Kamila Amurtayeva, member of Kazakhstan Youth Congress, the eyewitness to the events.  The repots on extremism and measures to prevent it were presented by participants from Venezuela and Russia.
